The Poetry Society

It’s arguably the most famous Christmas tree in the world. Found in Trafalgar Square, the giant Norwegian spruce has been an annual gift to London from the people of Norway since 1947 - symbolising peace and friendship in recognition of Britain’s support during the Second World War.

Since 2009 the Poetry Society has worked with the Royal Norwegian Embassy to create a children’s poetry project inspired by the tree.

I was responsible for producing a design in-keeping with the theme, which would be wrapped around the tree. The finished design had a fun, Nordic feel with muted colours and Scandinavian-inspired illustrations.
